The export and import activities through  Hili land port here will remain closed for seven days from Saturday due to Durga Puja.

Exporter and Customs Clearing Agents Association Secretary Sanjit Majumder said they have dicided to shut trade through the port from October 5 to 11.

However, the movement of passport-holder travellers through the check-post will continue as usual, UNB said quoting immigration check post officer-in-charge Md Rafikuzzaman.

Revenue officer Noor Amin of Hili Customs Station, said the customs office will remain closed only on the day of Bijoya Dashami (Tuesday).
